Indianapolis Metropolitan Police last night arrested an 11th person suspected of being involved in a series of home invasions on the Northside in October.

Police had been searching for Adrian Anthony, 20, for about two weeks before he was arrested shortly before midnight near 30th Street and College Avenue, said IMPD spokesman Christopher Wilburn.

Wilburn said Anthony was in a car with four other people when police began chasing them. It’s not clear who was driving or how Anthony is connected to those people.

Wilburn said the four others were brought in for questonning by police, but this morning it was not clear whether they will be arrested or face any charges.

Anthony already faces 35 charges, including multiple counts of rape, criminal deviate conduct, robbery, carjacking, intimidation, aggravated battery, criminal confinement, burglary and battery in connection with a violent home invasion on East 79th Street on Oct. 29.

Police say several men broke into a family’s home, sexually assaulted a mother and daughter and made off in three of the family’s cars. Three other men have already been arrested and charged in connection with that case.

Police believe that home invasion is connected to another one that happened Oct. 24 in the 7000 block of North Spring Mill Road. In that break-in, a group of men ransacked a home, terrorized its owners and stole their vehicle. Seven people have been arrested and charged with either carrying out that crime or assisting the people involved.
