DANVILLE — Another suspect has been arrested in connection with a home invasion at a rural residence in October.

Joshua Pundt, 34, of Hoopeston, was taken into custody Thursday afternoon on charges of home invasion, home invasion with a firearm, armed robbery with a firearm and criminal trespassing to a residence.

Capt. Rod Kaag, head of investigations for the Vermilion County Sheriff’s Department, said Pundt was arrested by officers with the Vermilion County Metropolitan Enforcement Group. His bond is set at $250,000.

He is the third suspect to be arrested in connection with the home invasion case. The sheriff’s department responded to a report of a home invasion at a rural address north of Danville around 12:47 a.m. on Oct. 30.

Kaag said the investigation into the incident remains ongoing and more arrests are anticipated in the case. At least one additional warrant has been issued in the case, according to court records.

Few details have been released as a result of the ongoing investigation. The sheriff’s department has confirmed minor injuries were involved in the incident and a vehicle was stolen from the scene. The vehicle was later recovered in Danville.

Two other suspects — Dustin Brockett, 27, and K’La Brockett, 21, both of Danville — were taken into custody in mid-November and charged with the same felony counts. Bond for each was set at $250,000 and they remain incarcerated.

According to court records, both Brocketts appeared for preliminary hearings on Thursday. Cause was found to hold them over for trial and both entered a not guilty plea.
