Three people have been arrested for this weekend’s home invasion where three people were shot.

Newport police have charged 21-year-old Thomas Moss of Henderson, 36-year-old James West of Otway, and 17-year-old Dequan Bullock of Henderson with multiple offenses.

Chief Jeff Clark says after several days of drinking and partying throughout Carteret County, the three came up with a plan to rob someone of pills and cash. They believed that person lived at the home on East Chatham Street, but as it turns out they no longer lived there.

The three victims, a father and son, along with another man, were all treated at Carteret General Hospital for non-life threatening injuries. Clark says the victims did not know any of the suspects.

Police say Moss and West are convicted felons, with both facing other pending charges before their arrest Tuesday morning.

The three will appear in court Wednesday for their first appearance. Moss’ bond was set at $3,015,000, West’s has a $2,015,000 bond, while Bullock was jailed on a $2,010,000 bond.
