State police investigating Felton home invasion

Delaware State Police are investigating a Felton home invasion that happened early Saturday morning.

Two men entered a home in the first block of Pin Oak Court in Canterbury Mobile Home Park at 3:55 a.m. Saturday, and while one of them confronted a 20-year-old woman sleeping on the couch and covered her mouth to try to keep her from screaming, the other hit her once in the head with an unknown type of handgun, Master Cpl. Gary E. Fournier said in a release today.

He said the noise alerted two other women, 22 and 23, respectively, who were sleeping in their bedrooms, but when they came to the living room, the two men forced them to the ground and demanded money.

When the women were unable to give the men money, they took a phone and fled the home in an unknown direction, Fournier said.

Nobody was injured, he said.. .

    Nobody injured? Really? How about that konk on the head?

    Mobile homes often have tight spaces & are hard to defend … an open floor plan double wide is better but railers are generally marginal housing on many levels.
