INDIANAPOLIS (WISH) – IMPD officers arrested an Indianapolis man Saturday night in connection to a violent home invasion last week.

Demetre Brown, 21, of Indianapolis, was arrested at his home and preliminarily charged with two counts of robbery and two counts of criminal confinement in connection to a violent home invasion in the 7000 block of North Spring Mill Road. It happened on Oct. 24.

Police say four people kicked in the door of the home, tied up two residents and ransacked the house. They fled in the residents’ 2006 Jeep Commander.

On Thursday, police arrested 23-year-old Alexander Dupree, 18-year-old Trey Spells and 21-year-old Michael Pugh in connection to a robbery and sexual assault in the 800 block of East 79th Street, which happened on Tuesday.

Police say three people were home at the time, and one woman was shot in the leg and the foot. According to the police report, at least one of the women was sexually assaulted. Their home was ransacked. Three vehicles were also taken during the robbery.

Also on Thursday, police uncovered items taken from the robbery on Spring Mill Road. It wasn’t immediately clear if the arrests made Thursday were also tied to the Spring Mill robbery.

Additional information on this suspect and others was not immediately released because police say their investigation was still active.

IMPD officials asked anyone involved in the incident to turn themselves in to police immediately.

Anyone with information is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 317-262-TIPS (8477).  Callers can also text “INDYCS” plus tip information to 274627(CRIMES).
