Masked Man Beat Victims in Violent Home Invasion MADISONVILLE, Ohio (Angela Ingram) — They are a trio of burglars so committed to the home they target that they go to great lengths to get what they want and they’re not afraid to use violence. In this case what they get is extremely dangerous in the wrong hands. What they didn’t know is they were on camera. Angela Ingram has the story and the video you’ll see only on Local 12. Two suspects are caught on surveillance cameras around one in the morning October 16th. One man kicks open the door so hard that the frame gives way at the house on Merwin Avenue. The unsuspecting victims are sleeping. At that point, two subjects entered the house with guns and ordered them down on the ground at gunpoint, both victims were pistol-whipped. While the two robbers are upstairs a third walks in. Minutes later you can see the three thieves leaving the house with stolen items: jewelry, money, cash, and an AR-5 rifle, a firearm police do not want in the hands of violent criminals. It will, if shot, at a police officer wearing a vest, it’ll go right through the vest and it’s easily concealable by the configuration it’s in here. When the men leave the house they take off their masks. The victims recognize one of the men on surveillance as a person who came to their street and knocked on the door about a week before the home invasion. He acted like he was a floral delivery person. He came up, kind of scouted around both sides of the house and actually walked up to the door and knocked on the door. Police say home invasions are much different from “spur of the moment” burglaries or break-ins. This crime was well thought out. “This takes a lot more guts, a lot more planning because you’re going in knowing that somebody’s asleep, that somebody’s in the house and most of them do get violent and in this case, it did.” Police believe the suspect who showed up on the 7th with flowers was in a gray or bluish gray Ford Fusion, around a 2011 or 2012 model. The victims had cuts, bruises, and swelling but they are expected to be okay. Watch video HERE
