Police: Report of home invasion robbery was drug deal gone bad

JOHNSTOWN — What was rumored to be a home invasion robbery in East Conemaugh Borough turned out to be a drug deal gone bad, police said.

“The Heritage Street incident was definitely not a home invasion,” police Chief Joseph A. Eckenrod told East Conemaugh Borough Council on Monday.

Two arrests have been made, Eckenrod said, adding that he hopes to bring in more suspects.

Court documents filed at District Judge Mary Ann Zanghi’s office in Vinco say that Patricia Bouch, 24, of the 500 block of Heritage Street, and Timothy Miller Jr., 26, of the 600 block of Murray Street in Patton, were trying to sell drugs to another man.

The two met with the man, possibly named Walter, about 8:45 p.m. Oct. 1 in Bouch’s Heritage Street residence, police said . .
